Congratulation Callum.

Well done. Great to see some great young anglers coming through to keep us all on our toes.

Again, well done mate.

Hope to see you soon.

Re: You Tube Bass Boat Crash

Trak, you can't help dumb drivers. Drivers like that give everyone a bad reputation. The driver must have been a Ski boat driver from Somerset. Most of them have no brains at all!!

Re: Legend boats

Congratulation Benny. First up, welcome aboard this forum. Plenty of great guys on here. I'm sure your going to love your new rig. I've had the pleasure of getting to know a few guys from the US via the internet and they class Legend Bass boats as a prestige model. Everything from the fitout and fin...

Re: US boat accident

I read on a forum in the US that Willie unfortunately lost his leg from the accident.
Here is a link with more pictures and a bit more of a rundown on how the two guys are going.

Re: HUTCHWILCO INFLATABLE LIFEJACKETS

I get mine tested at Dolphin Marine on the Sunshine Coast. Only costs $33 and is also issued with a certificate. Have been told that you can self test, however was warned that it may not stand up in court if the relative authorities may think they have not been tested correctly. Apparently, this is ...

Re: Humminbrid GPS help needed

Yeh should have said that this isn't a practice which H/B uses. I've been in contact with a few Humminbird employees in the states and they said that this practice is used regularly, but not encouraged. Like I said the only way I found this was by cracking the s#*ts when the gps was off by up to 100...

Re: Humminbrid GPS help needed

T_Man, I've had the same problem. Have a look at the GPS Diagnostic screen and see if the unit is locked onto all satelites or just the ones in the northern sector, and only monitoring the southern sector. If so, try disconnecting the GPS while the unit is turned on. Leave for about a minute then re...

Re: Lake McDonald BASS Electric April 12th - Postponed till 24/5

What height was the water at its peak going over the wall?
And wonder how many fish it took with it again.
Bring back the drought, not the flooding rain. We've had enough here on the Sunshine Coast!!

Vale John Meiers

Just saw on the news tonight that John Meiers from Cunningham Marine lost his life on the weekend when the 6mtr boat that he and another staff member from Cunningham Marine, flipped near Moreton Island. The other is still occupant of the vessel is still missing. I had the pleasure of meeting John on...

When will however does the public holidays learn to check the ABT calender before releasing the dates for holidays?? Doesn't worry me personally though. Just 3 comps in 3 weekends. Getting time off form work is the hardest, not getting away from family. Must be hard to organise the tournament calend...

Re: Oil Spill in QLD

So far it looks as though the northern end of the Pumistone passage has been spared from the oil spill. Had a quick look late yesterday afternoon on the way home from work and couldn't see any oil. And haven't heard of any reports either. As for the southern end and Moreton Bay, i'm not sure. At lea...

Re: Gobsmacked

Mal, I think Local Channel 7 screwed up big time and said it was Baroon Pocket when it was in fact Lake Borumba. They showed the dam wall and the boat ramp in a split second and it definately was Lake Borumba. Just a major cock up on the producers part in not making sure the details of the story wer...

Re: 2009 Entry Fees

Steve
I see Tracka has already asked this question, however it looks as though you haven't totally answered the question. Why are the Bass rounds $165 for a boater and the Bream rounds $120? Is it to raise the prize money for the lower number of competitors?
Thanks

Well, the 2008 Bass on Fly Tournament is over for another year. With only 3 legal Bass caught all weekend, it was certainly tough. Especially with those galeforce winds yesterday. The final results for the Tournament are as follows. Saturday session. 2 bass caught Chris Adams 0.448kg Darren Bracks 0...

The Mooloola River would be good, however the downside is the canal system is relatively small and would shut down very quickly and the 6 knots speed limit in the lower reaches. Pummistone passage, that would be good. Only thing is its getting very shallow from the skids to Lime pocket. Otherwise it...

Hi everyone. I have just spoken to the Borumba Deer Park and they are prepared to a sausage sizzle and steak sandwiches for us on the saturday night and on sunday at the presentation. We need numbers so they can work out how much food they need to buy to feed us. They have done this in the past for ...
