Re: TAREE BOAT RAMP

Yes it is bad, have been on the ramp lately and have to be carefull. Also another note, the little gravel beach to the east of the ramp, has been washed away and steep with some big rocks being exposed. there is piles of small gravel there for putting back in laying on the bank. ??? I came in a coup...

Thoughts and Prayers to Japan

As we watch the devastation we only wonder! What a sight of destruction. To see boats taken 100km into the land and towns just gone. Millions of people homeless and factories, industry destroyed. I have two mates in the area effected and my thoughts are with their families and friends. We await good...

Re: new comer

Welcome and good luck as a non boater. You will learn heaps and make some good friends. Take plenty of food. Enjoy it and do ask heaps of questions. After you do the comp report back on your experience. It is always interesting to get a new comers point of view. Also on the forum here, is an article...

Re: $200 fee for 2011

Well said BIG MAN, It does cut a bit both ways. I always makes sure I am early and on time as I get the sh!% when people are late on me. I always offer money and generally do it at the breifing, some take it some dont, some just will find it in there boats at a later date. The issue I have is always...

Re: $200 fee for 2011

Well I wasnt going to comment but decided to throw my hat into the ring. I have read the comments here and on other sites. I agree in some ways and disagree in others. At the end of the day I have just purchased a bass boat, as I have competed up to now as a non boater in ABT's. I know will have the...

Re: Question on rules relating to lures

Hi Steve Do you think that making a ruling for one lurer would be the way to go. Regardless of laws etc, it will only open avenues for bending the rules further. In all fareness to ALL anglers having one lurer per one rod would be a more fair ruling. This would take out any worries about what laws a...

Re: Buying Boats

Thanks guys, Was interested but your help has been great in my choice. I dont think the idiot wants to sell anyway going by the attitude he gave with his answers, It got to the point of name calling. Anyway giving him a wide birth. I did notice that the boat needed a bit of work, but he has not come...

Buying Boats

Hi all, Just been looking around for a new boat. Glass with 150 plus. Had a look on ebay and found a yellow and purple Skeeter 225 vmax. Just wanting to know if anyone knows of the bloke that is selling it. Ask him some questions re the boat but was rude about it. Looks like an import but wanted to ...

Re: ABT INSURANCE

Just my point of view. As Dodgyback said, need to make sure what you are getting when you get your insurance. Not that long ago I took my policy out for another boat with an insurance comapny (nameless) as i had all other policies with them. I specifically asked them what it covered and was told exa...

Re: Boat Speed through Ferry crossing

My thought to. However it poses a couple of issues, if the lights are not operating then you go through fast, the ferry then starts as you are crossing in front. This to me would mean that the boat is performing illegaly, a. going through the 4 knots whilst ferry underway and going in front of ferry...

Boat Speed through Ferry crossing

Just asking what the rules are (ABT) for crossing ferrys. Do we have our own ABT rule or do we use the waterways ruling. The reason I ask is that uder the waterways we are allowed to cross behind a ferry at the restricted speed shown whilst operating. When the Ferry is not operating we can operate a...

Re: Starting out in ABT events

Hi all, I'm wanting to find as much info about ABT event protocol as I can. I live in Wodonga Vic and have never fished for Bream before. I would be starting out as a non boater so as to learn as much as I can. A few points I would like answered are along the lines of the unspoken things, do I brin...
