James, thats pretty sad to see mate. 8 dead!....you probably remember the fish kills a few years back, I reckon we lost about 200 or so at Monduran (got off lightly compared to Awoonga and especially Lenthals)...since then I reckon I have seen the odd one every couple of trips, but not 8 or more......

Ive recently found a spot ( Bundaberg) that is definetely freshwater ( headwaters of a river ) and caught trevally and tarpon is good numbers. Its awesome to hook up to fish that fights like there is no tomorrow in freshwater.
