Might be an idea to change the page now that ABT and BASS aren't together.

Prize/Badge for biggest bag.

Has there been any thought into awarding a badge for the biggest bag weighed for the weekend?

Re: Longlining ?

5. The point at which the reel is first engaged, the lure must be retrieved completely to the boat before placing the reel in free-spool again. SM This is an interesting one. Does this apply to cast and retrieve as well while drifting? ie dropping the lure back to the bottom after a short hop, open...

Re: SPONSERED ?????????????

A lot of these guys aren't actually fully sponsored and still have to purchase the equipment(usually at a heavily discounted price). I rekon you could count on one hand the number of guys in the Bass and Bream comps who are 100% fully sponsored.

Protek powder paint. Heat the jig heads up, dip them in the paint and then bake in the oven.

Re: BASS ELECTRIC WINNERS ON AFC

... who wants to spend $10K plus on an electric boat for no returns. Dude, if you're fishing only to make a return on your investment, you are in it for all the wrong reasons. I have spent probably in excess of $100k on fishing gear since I started fishing the ABT back in 2000/2001. I have won $800...

Re-Read Mal's post Andrew.

I think It is a good idea. Who these days doesn't have a digital camera or mobile with a phone on it.

If they didn't have a digital camera, I am sure you could pick one up for the same cost as a 1/2 dozen packets of plastics or a couple of Jackalls.

Re: Hinze Dam No-go Map

Hi Simon, On the inset for the Eastern Boat Ramp a "No Go" zone but it does not appear on the main map. I guess my question is does that zone extend past what is shown on the inset. Regards Barry_O Looking at the map, the no-go zone is around the water intake tower. It does show it on the main map.

There are some big bream around, but I can't catch the buggers either. The poo chute and the rock wall have been working, but using small hard body lures.

Re: Prefishing bass electrics

I have been out of the ABT comp scene for quite a while now, but, there are some people who specifically target areas that they have no intention of working come comp day.

Unfortunately, when $$$ come into the equation, common sense seems to go out the door.

The all have their dramas and problems. I have had both Motorguide and MinnKota and both have given me problems. Foot pedals on both models have failed, wired and wireless, electrical, corrosion, bearings(on cable steer versions) etc. I really don't think the the salt water versions of either brand ...

Re: Alabama rig

Is it 4 lures if it has only 1 tow point.

Does a spinnerbait with a trailer hook fitted with a soft plastic constitute 2 lures then?
