Re: daiwa emblem pro rods

Sorry to hijack but have you fished the Nitro Assassin & how did you find it? I wouldn't mind getting one for flicking lures for tailor. Hey Niz, I have never cast the Assassin, but have seen it in action and had a good look at it with a 4000 reel on it. The bloke fishing it was casting good distan...

Re: daiwa emblem pro rods

Hey Sulla I have had a cast with the 13' Emblem Pro rod, both on the beach and over grass. The 13' version is rated for 50 to 120 gram cast weight. Its to soft in the butt to achieve really good distance even with 50 grams, its not really a rod I would be power casting with. My mate gave it to his f...

Plug Casting

I havnt had much luck getting on the big field of late with dog walkers, motor bikes, kite and planes flyers infesting the field, so I have been playing with plastic plugs at the local footy park. I must say its quiet addictive, after I sorted my through the strange overuns, snap offs and reel setup...

First wack with the SS

Got out yesterday for my first play with the SS and must say from the first cast I was happy it was money well spent. I tried it with a few OTG, high and flat swing cast but only got a dozen cast in before rain and darkness chased me home. Conditions were just about dead calm and the best distance w...

I just got a copy of Premiere Elements 4, or should I say scammed a copy. Have only had a couple hours playing with it. Very easy to use and seems to do all the basic stuff I wanted, IT did the basic snip the front and back off the clip and join the clips together very quickly. It has heaps of featu...

Having watched the discus and the javlin. I think its the locking or straightening of the front leg that provides a really strong pivot point for the momentum that has been generated, by the run up in javlin or the wind up in discus, to provide the power throught the hips to the upper body. In both ...

Hi Mate, I have a Nitro Snipper. Great light surf or bay fishing rod for bream, whiting, salmon and taylor. You can hold it all day, I use it with a 4000 or 5000 size shimano and 6 to 8lb fireline, and its well balanced. I find the Snipper is best with 20 gram lures and have got a lot of salmon and ...
