teemburra dam - mackay

Hi all, Fished teemburra dam on the weekend. With the high water level in the dam u only have to back the boat down about 7-8m down the ramp. We got on the water at 10.30 and fished to 7 at nite. We caught 12 barra's for the day. And had a good surface bite at 3 in the arvo through to 7. The size of...

And nearly very company had jigging rods and jigs. No dout that for daiwa that jigging and popperfishin would be ...

That is great, I hope the dam gets more. The only other spot I can think of is that stretch of bank opposite, queen st on the other side.

Other than that, thats all I know. smithy wasn't a good guide when he took me fishin all those years back.

Stradic, Depending on water colour, I would fish the edges with spinnerbaits, beetle spins and jackel's. The bass will move up on to the flooded grass banks and flats looking for any food (insects and worms etc.) that been caught with the rising water levels. Place's to try might be Queens street fl...

Scoot, I would go for a Daiwa Blue Backer 200. They have 7kg of drag straight out of the box. We have done a drag upgrade on one, with carbontex washers and also laped metal washers. It pulled 12kg of drag, Thats more than a Saltiga Z30 overhead which is 10kg. The reels has done about 10 trips to Fa...
