Wild Idea.

Hi all, I know I'll probably get shot down in flames but here goes. Has anyone ever suggested a trial ABT Bass round without a Friday pre-fish? Some will think its a crazy idea with no merit but think about it. There is always comment about how much fish get stung on the Friday. How many people have...

Re: 2013 BARRA Tour Draft Dates

Elliot,

Are the dates still draft dates? If so when are they likely to be confirmed?

Partner wanted 2013

Hi all.

Just putting this out there nice and early.
I'm in need of a partner to do the Barra Tour this year in November. Want to do the entire tour, sharing costs as usual. Have a boat so that's no problem.
Anyone interested pm me or post a reply.

Cheers; Todd Cormack.

Re: Glenbawn Accomodation

Two beds remaining.

Should mention this is for friday and saturday night. Couldn't get thursday night.

Also have a spot for a non boater for pre-fish if anyone wants one.

Glenbawn Accomodation

Hi all. I know its short notice but I'm trying to find somewhere to lay my head for the Bass Pro weekend. Wondering if anyone has a spare bed in a cabin or house. Will pay my share of course and am quite happy to help with domestic duties. I'm coming down from Qld and will have a boat. Anyone that h...

Partner Wanted--Barra Tour

Hi all, I am looking for expressions of interest from any-one looking for a partner to do the Awoonga rounds of the barra tour. A boating partner would be prefered but could look at options the other way round. Would also look at the Monduran round, either with Awoonga rounds or by itself. Any-one i...

Re: What sort of car for towing?

Just a bit of info from a Toyota Dealer's point of view. With doing timing belts on our vehicles you should do the belt, Idler bearings, front cam shaft seal, front crank shaft seal and you water pump. Yes it costs alot but i can almost grantee you will not have to work on the front of that engine ...

Re: Daiwa BARRA Tour 2009- DRAFT Dates

Hi Guys, I am personally of the opinion that a Boater/Non Boater format could work just as well for Barra events as it does with the Bass and Bream side of things. It opens up the scene to ideas being shared that may not normally. I for one will support it if possible. Some of the issues other peopl...

Hi guys, I have never done a Barra Tour event (hopefully next year) but I have to agree with Trev and Matt about the legal fish. In Bass Pro events only legal fish count so I can't understand allowing undersize barra to score. An earlier tour (september or october) also is an idea I would like to se...

Will,
If you go to- http://www.bom.gov.au/hydro/flood/ you can check river heights and rainfalls. Was back down to 21cm above the spillway at 8:15am Wednesday morning.

Stradic,
Generally briefing is held at the park below the wall at about 8:30. We need to be there a little earlier to register and show sip's. It will be interesting to see how well it fishes. According to BOM Borumba was 46cm above the spillway at 6am this morning.

A top 20 cull just dosen't work for me. Still costs the same to get to location, pay for accomodation if I finish 21st after first day as it does if I finish 19th. Would turn alot of people away. In a tough comp its not impossible for someone that finishes day one in 30th or perhaps even lower to ha...

Guys, I think in some cases it is both parties in the wrong ( boater and non-boater ). In regards to non-boaters, they should have enough respect for a pre fish or day one boater so as not to share future spots or game plans disscussed with them. In regards to boaters, they should have enough respec...

Thanks Steve Morgan

Steve, I would like to say a big big thankyou for making AFC viewable on YouTube. Without this available I and possibly countless others would miss this great series or possibly see only one or two episodes ( due to programming interuptions from other shows). Greatly apreciated, thanks again...........

Hi Guys, I think the boater qualifications work quite well by rewarding top 2 or 3 in a round and also rewards consistancy through the year. My suggestion is to work non boater qualification the same. Not all people can fish every round so a reward system for every round fished may not be fair to al...
