Re: ABT CALENDARS 2013

Steve There is no excuses this year it's on a weekend, not during the holidays and it's a great opportunity for anglers to give their sponsors great exposure at a great venue for the weighin. There's every chance a 40 boat field will contest this great event this year, hopefully we will see a lot mo...

Re: ABT CALENDARS 2013

Hi Steve
Why not do the Megabuck as a single event same as the aus open, with the view of possible setup of single event series down the track.

Re: Thanks to all, it has been fun.

Mate all the best in your new adventure it was a pleasure having your control our event as it was alway done in a very professional manner, but as Chris mentions you where a hard task master when it came to the measure. Hopefully you can get to a few events down the track so we can catch up for a re...

Re: Qld Open

I agree scott it was a great event, great concept won by a great fisho, bring on the Qld open as an individual event and give the Queenslands the opportunity to show there support for this concept and if it's run under the individual banner it will be interesting to see the numbers the event attract...

Mallacoota Accommodation

Hi all I have just been informed that the best accommodation in Mallacoota has become available for this weekend, it has one of the best views in town, sleeps 4 - 6, heaps of boat parking and if it was available 3 weeks ago I would have been going. If anyone needs a last minute place to stay this we...

Re: Marina Fishing Rules Debate

We don't wont to lose the marina's just clean up the grey area, either allow casting in but no entry by boat or remove those marina's in question so the the angler that won't touch them due to the rules will not be disadvantage from the odd angler that may run the gauntlet and casts in or drifts his...

Re: Marina Fishing Rules Debate

Yes Tom thats right but the only way it is policed is if someone see you and then its up to the individual to report it, then its one word against another, 9 times out of 10 most people will turn the head the other way as it is all to hard. As it can not be policed why not remove it or allow casting...

Re: Marina Fishing Rules Debate

So no response on this issue does that mean everone casts into marinas, I agree with Dodgyback if there is restrictions on marinas then they should be treated as a no fish zone with a 30m rule applied, or change the rule to allow casting into marinas, either one of these option should be applied to ...

Marina Fishing Rules Debate

What's everyone's thoughts on the rules regarding fishing restricted marinas, are they fair to anglers who respect the rules regards casting into marinas or should the rules be changed to allow casting into marinas to even up the playing field for all to negate the anglers who run the gauntlet with ...

Re: shared weight qualifier

Koel my prevous post is a response to Dizzies quote re individual events to find the best anglers, my previous post is how I feel things should if possible progress in the future hopefully sooner than later. A stand alone individual events series with ranking point without the a non boater as the up...

Re: shared weight qualifier

Dizzy yeh bring on more individual events like the next Aus open, add and change a couple of events like the Foster megabream, Queensland open to single events and possibly a Vic open or Aus open, Queensland open and all super series events to form a super series individual series made up of anglers...

Re: shared weight qualifier

Pat I agree with you on your shared weight suggestion, possibly trial it in the SS and also it wouldn't worry me if I fished alone on either day or both if there is a shortage of none boaters as I prefer to fish alone and yes the final day would sort things out.

Re: REEF SCIENCE STAGE TANK AT ABT EVENTS

Chris you are on the right track, negativity from others is the norm. The tank is definitely required for certain events and if all the weighin's could be performed in the town centre as drive through's where people could be drawn to the weighin the tank would always be required. Anyone who was pres...

Re: DAIWA Australian Open Dates and Format Shift Ideas.

I've enjoyed the current format over the last few years but the new format sounds great, if the new format is introduced and is successful it would be great to see a series of these events introduced to the calender. I agree with others that the midweek time slot along with all the other days off wo...
