Re: Southern Star Stealth - 115etec - Motorguide - Humminbird Si

Hi Steve,

I created an account on tournament boats earlier today with just that in mind, although it took quite a while for the validation email to come through so I haven't had a chance as yet. I'll be putting an ad up on there tommorow.

Cheers
Tony

Great to hear it's moving along Craig.

Ouch the glass sounds a bit exxy, although looks like the finished product will be well worth it!

It also looks like you've already got a little mermaid trying it out for size! :P

What a fantastic centre piece for your collection Al, it takes the definition of mint to a whole new level with the blank recipients name on the certificate - truly unique and quite possibly one of a kind you'd think :P And yes I would love to have a time machine too! I want a few miles of Pipeline ...

James and "tagged": I guess my last post won't be published. That's fine, I would however appreciate a PM even explaining why "Tagged" chose to use the forum as a personal "Brag" board, and, secondly, if those fish were tagged and released, anyone who would profess to have the fish's welfare in min...

Gday Mick,

For the life of me I can't recall where I got that info!

I do know I had googled the name and looked at lots of websites, and that I was very pleased when I did finally track down some info as it eluded me for ages!

Re: 1986 Fishing Time capsule

Tony If you put the elliots and the unknown together, cover the front of the deep divers bib How simmilar are they then? Jenkins Gday Laurie, Hmm that's wierd - I put a post up the other day showing them side by side and it's gone - here's the pics again. I would say they are similar in body shape ...

Re: Some George Dempster Lures

I agree Craig, It's always great to learn more about the makers of these pioneer Aussie lures. Thanks Adam - I like them a lot :P I've been looking a bit harder lately and managed to find a few more models! I've included what was previously my largest Dempster lure (18cm body) to compare with the ap...

Gday Laurie, Thanks for the tip re the Elliot's, I have only seen the smaller ones and whilst the thought crossed my mind because of the cut-off bib - the larger size threw me! :P I thought the other one could have been a timber Dart too! Had me scratching my head after I opened the box  Ac...

1986 Fishing Time capsule

I recently acquired a box of lures that were a retirement gift made in 1986. (Thanks again Chief for reminding me - I almost missed them!) The person choosing the gift was apparently a gun fisho and both the lures and the Daiwa lunker tackle Box are superb examples of what would have been some "Top ...

Killalure, Leads, C Lure? something else?

I'm trying to figure out who made these ones At first I though they were Leads, but then doubted myself and started thinking Killalure. Paint looks like Leads, bib looks like Killalure, maybe they're even C Lures? Any ideas? http://i997.photobucket.com/albums/af93/TonyM_1965/Lot_of_47_unknown_...

I'm pleased to say that my C Lures have been breeding Here's an updated family photo of the Cooktown versions The ones on the left are originals made by Carl and Judy Grist - being such a good lure a few have been beaten up badly by toothy critters! The ones on the right are made by either Selwyn We...
