Re: Bulk Owner Trebles

Hi Mick
For bulk buys I always get mine from Fishing Tackle Australia at Coffs Harbour. They stock most of the sizes.
Hope that helps,
Anthony

Re: ABT BREAM 2012

Its a shame to see the number of qualifiers get reduced for next year. I was looking forward to the 2012 calender having brought and set up a bass boat for that reason. Now it could be just teams events to fish or maybe start trying the ABT bass and Hobie comps that are closer to home. For me to ent...

Re: Clarence

Being a Clarence local I would love to see the numbers get back to how they used to be but with $400 entry and fuel etc can only see me fish as a non boater for this one. Probably for most I think with fuel prices at the moment it would be holding a good number back from entering. As much as I love ...

Re: Daiwa BREAM Series- Draft Dates 2011

If this is true that a Super series will set you back $400 to fish than that will kill boat numbers for sure. $200 for a qualifier I can live with that. The one thing that I have noticed with the top end pay outs is that the qualifier pay out is not that far behind a super series pay out so really i...

Re: Feedback on the Tweed Experiment

Fishing the Tweed as a non boater I found the pinched tail measuring system to be quite easy and fast to do on the fish that I did manage to catch. It was suprising to see some borderline 23cm fork bream easly clear the 26cm to the tip minimum length that would have been in some cases a definate thr...

Re: New Measuring System for BREAM Events

I am in favour with sticking with the fork measurement. If 23cm fork measurement relates to a 26cm tip length I see no need to change as it's allready +1cm over which ABT stipulates. If taking it to 24cm FL is what it takes to keep ahead of future trends than move it up. As it has been said allready...

Re: Boat Sponsor??

Stroker, Bullet or Gambler are just a few more.
I doubt that it would be them as they are your 80 to 100mph speed machines as well as the Allisons.
To extreme for tournament scene over here.

Re: US boat accident

Thats the only down side I can see to a hydrolic jack plate. Only the hydrolic piston holds the entire motors weight and thrust. I wonder if a manual jack plate with the six lock down nuts for the motor plate would have changed the outcome. It my have torn a manual one off the transom. Who knows ? W...

Re: 3 bream limit for Non Boaters

Having fished as a non boater for a number of years now I have had full bags and empty ones. I have noticed on average in most comps around 5 to 10 non boaters will get thier 5 fish. 3 to 5 anglers will weigh in 4 and that again will have 3 fish weighed in and 10% to 15% of the starting field will d...

Re: Wanted: More Fishin on TV!!!!!

Call me greedy but I want more. Since they removed the bass rounds and outdoor specials off ESPN I feel like I have lost a limb. The WFN channel would be just what we need. Austar and Foxtel should pull there fingers out and give us a sports channel of that quality for all us outdoor enthusiasts. Wh...

Re: Fast Boat Owners

I got pulled up by the so called blueberries at a Tweed comp a few years ago and I was given a lecture on self inflatable PFD's. The officer believed that all manual inflatables should be banned and only the auto inflate models be sold. His reason was if I was in a crash could I activate my PFD to i...

Re: help with livewell

Ralf I would run a seperate pump for this set up as it uses valves to direct the water flow e.g fill, recirculate and empty. Spliting it would be more trouble than what its worth. I run a system 3 flow-rite which suits a low intake feed where the pump is below water level. There phone number is 07 5...

Re: help with livewell

Hi Norm I'm not sure who could do molded plastic tubs, posibly the manufacture of your boat may have a drop in one aviable. Any good sheet metal shop could bend and weld a livewell tank to suit the dimensioins you require. I'd look at nothing less than 3mm thick alloy sheeting for the job. I have a ...

Re: BOAT UP-GRADE

Sir Latte From what I can see on the market for around 30k you couldn't go past the Stratos 186xt fo a few extra bucks. Rated to 115hp and with all the casting deck you need plus the smooth ride of a glass boat that would be my pick without going 2nd hand. The Nitro 680 springs to mind as well. Rate...

G'Day Nitro I'm running a Wireless Motor Guide 55lb on my 4 meter Stacer. I love the thing. It may not turn as fast as a cable steer but the ease of adjustments to the motor by the foot control is excellent. The one thing I like is the peddle height, 1 inch. You don't feel as though you have one foo...
