Re: Comp at Sale August 16
Guys
usually we try to meet at Marks place about 9.00 to 9.30 before going down to the farm.
this is because the farm turnoff is hard to find
I suggest we do the same if it is OK with Mark

Re: Commercial clip downs
Mulloway A question re the imps as I have heard a similar thing from New Zealand. What size bait are you using with the imp, if it is two large it may be moving down over the imp release part and therefore on impact with the water stopping the imp from opening properly, hence the break. Tha bait wil...

Re: ASF Caps & Polo's
I agree with you Lee
anything but green and gold, these colours are also the same as South Africa albeit in different combination
Light colour with the dark flash looks far better

Re: Results & Video
Guys
I put the results up under my web site under the casting links.
I treated them as separate comps due to distance and venues as if I had combined them the distances would appear disproportionate.
If you want them combined I can do it, so please advise

Re: Guides to put on a Zziplex Profile Lure?
If only using thge rod for casting why not go for the single foot guides
My profile has these and I have had no downside to this.
This keeps the weight down and has minimal effect on the rod

Re: An Australian Championship
Guys I think we can go one step further in that there should be two prizes 1 outright distance with any weight a caster chooses 2 an aggregate distance of the compulsory weights (100, 125, 150, 175) This in a way raises a question as to what is the better caster?. the one who casts the longest or th...

right hand
I have had a look at the Jan 2008 video as a comparison to this one and I was doing the same thing, and have continued the low left hand pull which then drags the right hand down. Initially I thought that I was dropping the right due to the heavier 175 gram, but now realise When I started casting 12...

hand positions
Over time I have found three formula for reel seat / hand positions. In the 70's the rule basically was with reels up the rod for fishing was grip the rod butt and hold in the centre of the chest then extend the arm out so the rod and arm are parallel, this was the position for the reel seat. If the...

7HT Mag
I have had one since last November when they were realeased into the UK. It is robust, and the mag controls are good but need tweaking if it was to be used in the tournament scene. As a fishing reel it is great as the mags can be set for the conditions and casting is made easier. I have removed the ...

Jeremy from what i gather it is about the same as my profile as to dimensions. I will put the tape and vernier over it and the profile when it gets here. Terry told me that the one I am getting is the M4 Evolution which is supposed to be about 20% stronger than the old M4, which was the big brother ...
