Re: ABT BREAM 2012

Steve, you have to be happy with the level and the type of response for this post. If anything it displays a high level of concern, belief and loyalty in the ABT individual events. Over recent years I have been a low occurrance competitor from when I was previously competing in quite a lot of comps ...

Awoonga Trophy Comp

A tough first two sessions, a hot bite in progress for the final session, really happy to see both top level pros and new to comp fishing entries level pegging. :P Report to follow soon. Ian More detail just in. The bite session was kind to some and evil to others, the new look Lake Awoonga is servi...

Re: Awoonga Barra Trophy Countdown

Just a quick reminder to all.

Ensure you do the absentee or postal vote thing, you don't want to cop a fine after having a cracker weekend :x

Only 4 weeks to go :P :P

Re: Get Set for the 2010 Barra Calender

Sounds great Matt,
I'll send my availability dates if you could just ensure they are transcribed over to the comp dates that would be great :D It will be a tough call between wet season run-off in the NT and the April ABT comp.

I'm ready, I just need a partner worth his weight

Re: AFC / ABT Barra Rules

Thanks PJ and Moggy,

it does seem the Taylor Boys yet again did their homework better than most and worked out an advantage for them. well done to them. I don't see the gap in the rules lasting till the 2010 comps though, 8)

AFC / ABT Barra Rules

I recently watched ( and very much enjoyed ) the Monduran round of the AFC. I noticed the Taylor boys were using a rod whilst 4 rods were already snagged. I was under the impresion that ABT rules didn't allow the angler to use another rod if a rod had been snagged. Is there a different rule in AFC c...

Trailer Failure - Thanks

Coming home from the Bribie Gamagatsu comp without knowing my SEALINK trailer winch mount separated from the mount post, leaving my boat being held on the trailer only by the additional tiedown straps. This could have been very messy on the Bruce Highway on the way home. The area immediately ...

Re: Berkley Clarence River Super Series - Final Results

Well Done Mick a top effort.
You stuck to your game plan and it paid off, just like when you won the Tweed comp several years ago. Confidence is a great thing and you've done well this week.
A nicer bloke you won't meet, great stuff Mick

Re: Oil Spill in QLD

I don't want to rain on anyones parade, , but I live at redcliffe and went to the pub last night for dinner. Looked at the Redcliffe rock wall there was a deffinate black line at the high tide mark. I won't bet my wallet on it due to the lower light conditions 6.30pm but it seemed a lot darker than ...

The problem was solved by BLA exchanging the charger. Tech decision was "Stuffed if we know" A big thankyou to both BLA and Northside Marine for their quick response, much appreciated.

MinnKota Charger troubles

Gents, I have a minn Kota Charger, MK110PA, that last night burst into flames. :x I connected the charger ( yes in correct polarity ) turned on the power and an almightly pop and sparks and flame came out the top and side. I quickly turned off the power, which stopped the displayed light show. Stran...
