Re: SPAM to Private Message

Hello all, ..... couldnt it be possibe to read a pm if its sent and perhaps reply to the sender of the pm if under 5 psts. Anything is possible, however, is it worth the effort? From my point of view ... no. The PM code for this board is fairly complex but it does not cater for send / receive permis...

This is correct. No PM's till you have 5 approved posts (you now have your first)

Re: SPAM to Private Message

OK everybody, I have had to hack the board code a little but to stop PM spamming I have set a minimum post level of 5 posts. It takes 2 approved posts to be able to publicly post on these boards so 5 should be fine the "everyday" user. I have quickly tested my solution and it looks to be working - i...

Re: SPAM to Private Message

Thanks guys ... I am trying to work on having a minimum number of authorized posts before being able to post PM's. I will BAN the offending users now.

SPAM to Private Message

Guys / Girls, Some individuals (who I have now banned) figured that you can send private messages to all users. They used this to SPAM all board users (you may have received a private message notification in your email) for this I am sorry. I have disabled the feature to be able to send PM's to mult...

BB - Downtime :(

Sorry guys/girls ... have been offline for about 20 hours.

I will be working towards moving these BB's across to a more stable server so this doesn't continue to happen.

I should have the reports boards back online later this morning.

Cheers

Ron, I'm not sure what you are asking. But I will clarify - > You CAN use any 3rd party image host you like to host images for our boards. FMG however, does not supply you somewhere to store your images. It is up to you where you put them (NB: most ISP's offer hosting space with internet packages - ...

Just so you know ... FMG doesn't allow the uploading of images to our server for two reasons. 1- FMG primary site already consumes 1GB of webspace. If we allowed the upload of images this would fill our server real quickly - taking our site offline. 2- FMG primary site uses in excess of 20GB bandwid...

G'day Dropshot Nice to see you here. Too include images in your post you need to have them hosted somewhere on the web. There are plenty of free image hosts (ie. http://photobucket.com/ ), or your ISP may provide you with several MB of web space with your connection plan which you can use. Once you ...

Posting pics is allowed ... however we do not allow you to host them on our server. If you can get your pics online (you usually get free webspace with your internet account) then you can easilly include them in your message using the img tags. The code format is presented below: [img]http://www.fis...
