Yeppoon/Byfield/Corio Bay/Waterpark Creek info

Post by Effort = Rewards » Fri Jan 18, 2013 9:07 am

Hi all,

I'm from Sydney but heading up to Yeppoon/Byfield next week (22nd Jan 2013), in this trip i'll be heading to Byfield to the Red Rock camp site for a few nights, never been up this way before but i'm very keen to try the water's. Obviously i'm optimistic being the wet season and camping but i'm hoping for the best and it's really the only time I could fit this trip in. Does anyone have some relative information about current conditions up there at this time of year? I heard Water Park Creek can be Tannin stained at times, a lot of rain can flush the fish out but i'm just hopeful we get half decent conditions, being my birthday surely nothing will go wrong lol... Anyway, without plugging for too much information, if anyone wants to share some tips and spots to try then i'd be most grateful, either way, i'm not shy to explore so really looking forward to seeing what the area has to offer.
