Post by Gazza42 » Sun Jan 13, 2008 12:38 pm

Hi all went to S/set on Friday 11th January for a look see we left Bribane in the rain all of the creeks flowing into the dam are running fairly hard , and got to S/set and it was hammering down the dam looks a treat...the fullest i have seen it in a very long whie .we headed up to the powerlines to have a look. Lots of debris water was tannin colored and flowing.Plenty of drowned weed to target and new cover to explore ...fished mostly spinnerbaits, jackals but no takers ...lots of insects floating down and surface activity was busy, lots of little slurps and flicks going on.. i think the lake will take a couple of weeks to settle ...then it should be a red hot bank bite more rain is forecast ...Ran into Farry and Mick Delisser who managed a couple of Bass and spoke to Greg Walton ...things are looking up hope we get some of that into North Pine Tight lines Gazza
