teemburra dam - mackay

Post by ashley cotter » Tue Feb 05, 2008 8:57 am

Hi all,

Fished teemburra dam on the weekend. With the high water level in the dam u only have to back the boat down about 7-8m down the ramp.

We got on the water at 10.30 and fished to 7 at nite. We caught 12 barra's for the day. And had a good surface bite at 3 in the arvo through to 7. The size of the fish was very small try 30-40cm.

Sunday hit the water at 4.30 and fished topwater to 10.30 in the morin. Caught another 9 barra in the same place. The barra wherer the same size again.

lures used where shimano splash rollers and reactions inovation vixien's
The only problem was that with heavy barra gear and bigger lures we had a very hard time trying to hook the barra because of their size.

cheers
Ashley

Ash,

Give 'em a year and they'll be 60-somethings!

Sounds like the fingerlings are surviving well....
