Surf lure casting

My lbg days was more about high speed spin than live baiting and now because of marine parks and big crowds i no longer do it but i still spin my arms off, on in shore ledges and the beach looking for fish such as kings/jew/salmon/talior and others.
One thing that can make a big diff is to fish a metal like you would a soft plastic flick bait ... When you know the fish are there but not playing ball try letting it hit the bottom (over sand) then give it some big rips and flicks...this can be hard work if you are casting with longer rock&beach rods but this method can make all the diffrence on a shut down bite, it's allso deadly on the stones but remember you dont want your lure to hit the bottom if fishing over reef.

Have plenty more tips on fishing metals if any one wants to know ...Let me know and i will be more than happy to share them with you.
