Mullet Rod...

Post by Team Buddhahead » Fri Oct 24, 2008 8:27 am

Well I finally finished the "Mullet Rod"
It's a 8 foot Calstar. It was made to fish 1/4oz to 1 1/4 egg sinkers with live mullet in the surf..
I didn't use a winding check so I formed a small piece of EVA and wrapped over it..Hope you like it..

Interesting rod , I am assuming that you use it for short range casting of the live mullet into holes and gutters for Red Drum is that correct ?

Also what reel and line weight are you using and can you post a picture of the sinker or is it simply a large bean/bomb shape with a larger hole through it to allow better line flow for the live bait to move around ?

Regards :D
