Boat Sponsor??

Post by Pumba » Tue Dec 08, 2009 6:09 am

Hi guys,
Just read the post viewtopic.php?f=17&t=11328 and was wondering if anyone knows what boats are coming in?

Would be good too see some more variety in the Bass Boat scene.

Cheers.

None of the above. It will be a new one on the market.

Is the market in OZ big enough for another imported tourny boat ?
We already have Skeeter with the lions share of the market. and a load of 2nd hand ones on the market
Stratos
A few Bass Cats
Nitro
Triton (and by all accounts more of these soon)
Champion
Any else I have forgotten ?
I just can see much room for more , unless they are cheap as chips
Just my opinion only

Ranger and Charger.

Procraft is a possibility, so are Legend or Phoenix.

Mick I agree but think there is a massive hole to be filled in the bass boat market for the smaller size of the market.

I think that if a manufacturer is not bringing in the smaller 16-18 foot boats then they will be shooting themselves in the foot and I hope they have a good range. Price must be a factor and considering the issues the yanks are still experiencing I beleive anyone in AUS who is willing to give it a go can get a heap of cheap new bass boats here to Aus as the yanks are wanting to deal in quantity right now just to get rid of stock.

As for other manufacturers well there are a few but when the new models to arrive were labelled ELITE, well basically that leaves me in the dark because all the ELITE brands are either here on our shores now or have been previously sold here.

The only other exceptions I can think of are Allisons, Legends and possibly Blazers.

Cheers

With the US dollar at the moment and what it was earlier this year, check out the roll on roll off prices for your self.

you can then buy any brand you wish and save Thousands of $$$$$$$

it's a very interesting money saver if you look around a little.
Cheers Tony

With the recent change in the permit system in Qld for over width boats, a lot more Yank boats will be able to be towed easily here. Combined with the strong Oz dollar it might see a bit of a flood of new boats (of all types, not just comp boats) on to the market. Particularly if its really true that our economy is currently in so much better shape than the yank one. Probably a lot of boats sitting in yards over there going nowhere.

Stroker, Bullet or Gambler are just a few more.
I doubt that it would be them as they are your 80 to 100mph speed machines as well as the Allisons.
To extreme for tournament scene over here.

I can't see why we need to have boats that can go 80mph+ as we are only allowed to do a max of 40kn (about 75km/h or 47mph) except for a couple of places in QLD (not sure about the rest of AUS but I would think it would be the same)

Sorry bout the Hijack.

can go as fast as you like in Vic. I think it would be a good idea for s.lenon to tell everybody what brand it is. If it were me bringin em in I would want people who want to be associated with the brand to apply, not those willing to ride in anything cos its discounted.

The 'elite brand' referred to in the 'boat sponsorship opportunity' advertised on this site on the 5/12/09 is Legend. Contract negotiations prevented us from releasing this information before now. We apologise for the delay. Advertising should appear shortly on Fishing Monthly. Thankyou
