Hi guys

I want to compete in this one but need to find out all the details as soon as possible.
As it is in the school holidays and I have to find accommodation I will need to book soon or miss out.
Any details would be greatfully appreciated as I've never been there before. What type of fishing locations will be included (is it open bay or river/canal fishing) and recommended accommodation options nearby.

Cheers
Dave

The location as noted is an open bay area with some protection from bay conditions inside the reef laggon area to the north of the launch base. I don't know what they will do if the weather turns sh!%, as this area is very open to any wind/swell with an easterly slant. There are some nearby canals that are fishable but require an approx 3k paddle/peddle accross some open water to reach them. Look up Landsborough avenue on google maps and you can zoom out to see more of this area.

There are a couple of caravan parks at Redcliffe which are nearby, But there are also numerous units along the beach front of the entire Redcliffe Peninsula, do a search on google for Redcliffe accomodation or look up some local real estates for further options.

I am predicting that this comp will yield some of the biggest bream of the 3 qld rounds, it will be well worth attending.

Thanks Kev

Any info is good at this stage as I have never been there before.
What sort of features do you fish in the open bay?
Is there any natural structure around like flats, weedbeds, rocky areas near to the launch site?
The lack of cover is a concern I guess, if it is blowy it might be a tough comp.

Cheers and thanks Dave
