Live well set up for ABT

Post by stevebarrapro » Fri May 07, 2010 8:30 am

Guys,

I just bought a Stacer Barr Pro and would like to enter some ABT bream comps. The boat has two live well tanks fed from one pump. It has an adjustable spray head in each tank and a length of PVC pipe for the overflow/level. I was just reading the ABT rules for live wells and it states you must have an aerator or recirculation pump.

The question is if I leave the fill pump running or on a timer whilst the boat is in the water is this classed as a recirculation pump/system or do I need to install a separate pump in each tank for recirculation for when the boat is out of the water?

Do you need to take the boat out of the water before weigh-in?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

As long as you have 60L of capacity the system you have is fine. As far as taking the boat out of the water before weigh in, no except of course if its a drive through style.

Cheers, Mick
