Got back yesterday from a 4 day fishing adventure on the Severn chasing the awesome Murray Cod. There were 6 of us and we fished 6 sessions over the weekend. After all was said and done we collectively landed 96 fish with the biggest being 80cm (caught on surface). Almost half of our fish were caught on surface early in the morning and late in the afternoon. Plenty of our fish were in the 55 to 65cm mark with some others cracking 70cm. The country side was amazing and the fishing was just as good. The only down side was the loss of gear. All of us took a hit in the hip pocket with the amount of gear lost in the rocky terrain. If you get a chance to visit the Severn jump at it as you will not be disappointed.
