Motorguide steering issues

Post by castamasta » Fri Dec 23, 2011 11:35 am

Hiya guys
Ive lost my steering on my bowmount, its a Motorguide 55lb wireless. It seems to be a mechanical issue rather than an electrical one,i say this because on operating the foot control to turn, it still sounds like the motor is working, but nothing happens.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thankyou.
Cheers,Gav.

Hi Gav,

I had the exact same issue with my motorguide. I took it back to the dealer as they thought it might have been rotated too far one way and the motor could not correct itself. This was found to be untrue and they had to send away for a brand new unit. It was under warranty so I was lucky. Check yours but I would say that this is what will happen.

Hope this helps,

Brendan
