These are 4 original timber Jumbuck lures made by John Laws the original maker.

I suspect they are very rare as they are the only timber Jumbucks I've seen or heard about.

If anyone has anymore I'd like to see them.

Hey chief, very nice jumbucks, caught myself a cod on one only a couple of weeks ago. John Laws passed away some years ago, I was lucky enough to know him. He had a business partner by the name of Kevin Keating who is still a very keen fisherman. They sold the lure business either late 90's or early 2000's, but I can't recall who bought it. Don't need to know as I still have quite a collection of Jumbucks. Keep those wooden ones safe!!!!!!!!

Thanks ptr244,

John was a very nice man, it's sad to hear he is no longer with us.

John did some custom lures for me in the early 90's. The pattern i asked him to do for Cod was something he thought was hilarious. I had to give him a Lefty Krey video at the time and purchase 10 lures for him to do the job. Lawsy laughed at me about the colour but he must have done a couple of extras at the time for himself. I suspect he'd caught a fish on one of them as some months later i saw the pattern in a tackle shop. I got a huge chuckle from the sneaky bugger.

A top bloke, his dad was also a lovely gentleman.

The timber ones are under lock and key away from marauding associates

Adam, by this statement you would have to think the chief is meaning Damo as we are his good mates, not associates

I've seen the timbers very nice. I picked up a urethane Jumbuck down the river the other day in good condition.

Ziggy,
I'm not alowed to touch anything over there. I get shown them through the window as he won't let me in the office any more. The one i've got was one I found on a walk down the river.
Cheers,
FANG.
