TRU TRAC Lures

Post by The Chief » Wed Jul 29, 2009 4:50 pm

Tru Trac lures were first made by Fred Foe of Hawkins Texas U.S.A. up until approximately 20 years ago.

An Australian gentleman by the name of Lyall Todd {Toddy Lures} who was already making various spinnerbaits and the like basically inherited the business when Fred became ill.

Lyall has been making all sorts of hardy and versatile metal lures including spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, chatterbaits, shakerbaits, inline spinners etc ever since.

Lyall also, in conjunction with Carl Hyland of Huey's Lures Tasmania, have incorporated a Huon Pine forward weighted grub with both shaker blades & chatter blades.

1st pic is an original Fred Foe lure.

Next couple are Tru Trac/Huey's hybrids

I was told to contact Lyall recently when I was looking for some Bass gear.

He`s a terrific fellow & a treat to deal with. It`s worth the call just to have a yarn with a real character...( thanks for the tip Chief)

Just a few more pics of some of Lyall`s different styles
