George Dempster

Post by Tagged » Mon Jul 20, 2009 7:04 pm

Some early Bream lures by George Dempster of Townsville, below them are a JP Hornet and a small sized Elliots Dart. George was known by locals as Pipeline George, for walking out on the Ross River pipeline to catch Barramundi. Some of the finest paint jobs around for their age. About 45mm long.

One of George's Barra lures, one way to tell George's lures is the very fine stainless steel wire he used.

Just got one new on the card. I paid to much for it but I don't care.

Thanks for sharing Tagged

That would be the only Dempster lure I've seen still on the card - very nice pickup!

Was specialist the brand George used, I've never heard that before?
Cheers,
Tony

I guessing they supplied a range of lures. I don't think George had cards.

The George Dempster on the card would be cheap at anything under $200
