Gidgee Lures

These are the "Knix" model, made by Tom Barratt in Brisbane.

Here are some of the new Ripples. I have a couple of timber ones (because I could not wait for him to paint them as too impatient  )

And some more Tom has painted up this week

They are a quality lure and great finish. If you want some nude timber ones (or others) I suggest giving him a call.

Hi Siegfried

Tom originally comes from the New England area and the influence shows in the style of his lures. He spent much of his childhood hanging out with the kids from various New England Lure Makers such as the Newells, McFeeters etc and spent lots of time in Peter Newells shed learning the art of lure making.

A genuine nice bloke, Tom made a lot of effort to make these lures up in colours I requested - I'll be back for more that's for sure!

I haven't tried the Knix out on the Barra as yet, although will be next chance I get!

Alistair might be able to help with more detail as he is a mate of Tom's ;-)
Cheers,
Tony

Thanks Tony.
Much appreciate you info.
For a Brisbane based maker his lures do have a New England flavour to them & you info explains why.
