Large Dempster Barra Lure

Post by Tagged » Fri Aug 14, 2009 10:39 am

The split rings are the same size Eric Moller used. And the bib is Gal steel. Hook hangers are stainless steel. They eyes are fine and round with a lot of effort. the chin comes to a point like that if the Scorpion's belly.

It's more than 30 years old, I moved from Townsville when I was in grade 5. Been in my fathers tackle box all that time.

Tagged,
From what info I have (given very recently by a Townsville local who has a swag of Georges lures), it was as he calls it..
"Mackeral Lure - 200mm long including Bib (180mm from eye to tail)."
Mr Dempster was a smart fella, until now I was only aware of 2 sizes in his sardine shaped monnow, but he did a couple of minnow types, the mackeral ones, a few poppers and even a couple of bibless models
Cheers Brad

Without having a good look, I'd say I own 9 different models. They all have the same eyes and stainless hangers.
Two different bibless, two poppers, and very nice Mouse. Tony also owns one that I don't, for now.
