Help

Post by siegfried » Wed Jul 29, 2009 2:21 pm

My young fella got this in a whole bunch of lures he purchased recently.

It`s a nice old lure & I have no idea what it is. There`s an L stamped under the bib with 3 dots under it.

All the Lee's Lures I've seen have a sticker.
And they were all surface poppers.
Whats the total length ?

I'm guessing that the bib is alloy, is that the case ?

Sorry Tagged, I`ve been a bit vague with the description.  Alloy bib, & the L looks to have been stamped before the painting. Timber, twisted wire hangers & tow point.

Qld Lures starting with L
Lead's, no would be my guess. Early Lead's are signed in ink.
Lee's, not certain but I'm leaning towards no. As these aren't very common.
Lucinda Lures, the shape and the bib are completely different to every Lucinda I've ever seen.
Lively Lures, pretty sure it's not.
I dont know anything about Laurie White.
What about Les Barlow ? It's about the right age.

Les makes a great lure(luv em) but the paint on this one even though it is old, looks a little fancier( & I don`t mean that in a in bad way) than Les does. This has a higher gloss finish.

Doesn`t look good for the L`s does it.   Maybe the chief`s cottage industry theory he put to me the other day might be on the money.I would hate to think he was right yet again.
