new to the ABT

im looking to fish in my first abt bream tournament at the gold coast this year but in not sure how much it costs, i know its a $50 registration fee but how much if for each comp. Also do i need to bring my own PFD.

ps: i will be a non - boater

Yes its a $50 registration fee to join ABT then it is $100 per competition fishing as a non boater to fish the qualifiers. Yes you wil have to provide your own PFD and be self sufficient for the two days in terms of food, drinks, tackle etc. There is a few posts and articles around on the website detailing experiences and the dos and donts as a non boater which are worth a read.

There is no Goldcoast ABT comp this year. Just Bribie and Tweed.

Good luck with the comps lamd10, you can land some great rides fishing as a non-boater and get to learn from some seriously good anglers. :)

I always suggest just 3-4 rods and a small amount of tackle to keep the fishing area clean and neat. There normally isnt a real need to carry a huge tackle box as a non-boater, just enough for a days fishing.
