Another Queenslander wins in NSW?

Post by Steve Morgan » Mon Aug 23, 2010 9:56 am

Maybe it got lost in the election excitement, but I did notice that another NSW BASS win headed Queensland's way on the weekend.

Carl may or may-not have said, "those guys fish that place all the time, but it only took me a day to get that place sorted."

Carl's happy to accept donations to extend his USA trip next year - the longer he's OS, the more ABT BASS events he'll miss. Could be a wise investment!

Cheers,

Congrats on another AOY Carlos.

You can start first at the GF this year but if you are OS next year looks like the No 1 spot at each round will be random draw.

PS. You can't on sell your free entries next year. You either use em or lose em.
Cheers,

Gee you can be a cock head sometimes Steve.
That would be the last thing that Carl would be thinking or saying.
He is one of the most humble people I know and a big congrats to him for coming down here and kicking everyones butt.

Bruce - apologies - you can't see the tongue-in cheek nature of the comment.

If it's a sensitive point, I'll lay off it, but from past posts you guys seem to enjoy the QLD/NSW rivalry.

Cheers,

Yes we certainly do enjoy the NSW /QLD rivalry Steve, but it would be great to see some of the lesser guys that keep turning up at each event giving them a go get a mention from time to time. QLD or NSW.

While Carl won the overall AOY and QLD AOY Trophy, Wayne Reed a NSW BREAM and BASS Pro Angler claimed the NSW AOY Trophy.

Well done guys, you will receive your trophies at the GF.

Congrats to Wayne for NSW AOY and Kris for Non Boater AOY piped Ash by one point plenty of stiring went on all the way home. Was another fantastic year for myself and my mates and ill miss camping with my crew next year, hopefully they keep up there great results when im gone, well at least Matty and Tim will finish one place higher each time  haha Ill put my money on some young NSW blood coming up i fished with Luke Mulholland on the Sunday great young fella and has some good potential to give the boys a run in years to come keep it up mate!

Ha Ha.
Sorry bout that. That Morgan fella just hit a nerve

Yes we do have some great NSW young fellas coming through as ABT Boaters next year.
Rhys Tiggemann, Lukey Mullholland, Walter Schifleet , Blake Lambert, Elliott Danks will all be allowed to fish next year as boaters so LOOK out.
And in a couple more years we will have the Jones brothers, Ryan and Jack and young Dylan Glover and Luke Draper. So I am pretty sure when you come back from the States Carl NSW will be dominating all ABT events.

I agree with you Bruce. I had Rhys as a non boater for the 3rd session and I have no doubt that he will be a force to be reckonded as a boater and a tournament angler all round. He is a top angler and he has a great attitute. It is great to see these young blokes spending their time fishing instead of other non productive activities.
