Bass Electric Fishing Social Comps

Bass Electric Fishing Social Comps

I am looking for expressions of interest in starting a social comp for bass fishing on electric only dams
Two anglers per boat (team fishing) and a donation of $50 per boat, money will be pooled and divvied out for those boats who bring back the fish being the heaviest bag and largest bass
Sponsored prize for big bass
Based on current bass electric rules with one major change you will need to preregister by phone or e-mail
There will be no early weigh-in and everyone will be able to fish including the person who weighs fish (all fish will be weighed in front of participating anglers)
Naming rights for social comp is still open, any suggestions
The number of social comps held will be determined by amount of interest and support
At the discretion of fellow mates, anglers can be refused to join the social comp
If you don’t have a mate to team up with and have a boat or not, express interest in the social comp and we can match you with a non boater, however if we are unable to find a non boater you will not be able to fish, strictly two per boat.

What do you think?

Sounds like a good idea.
Only questions would be are you looking at running this during the abt electric season or in the off season?

Sounds good Ian. strictly bass fishing or some cod and saratoga rounds as well to break things up? some of the warwick and toowoomba dams have some good cod to target.

Bass Electric Fishing Social Comps

In an attempt to stop the dates from clashing with the existing ABT comps I’m thinking we run these events when the ABT
southern New South Wales comps are being held

Which day is preferred Saturday or Sunday?

First social comp to be held at Hinze dam on the 27th or 28th of July dependent on which day you guys want to fish?

Second comp to be held after the ABT convention final. Date to be announced after first social comp, suggested venues: Hinze Dam, Wivenhoe Dam, Clarrie Hall and Lake McDonald?

Two anglers per boat (team fishing)$50 per team, money will be pooled and divvied out for
those teams who bring back the 4 fish being the heaviest bag and largest bass

Sponsored prize for big bass or cash payout

Alternate species prize Saratoga, silver perch or yellow cash pay out (if entry numbers will support)
species to be nominated before comp if targeted species is not caught prize rool over to next comp

Based on current bass electric rules with one major change you will need to preregister by phone or e-mail

There will be no early weigh-in and everyone will be able to fish including the person who weighs fish
(all fish will be weighed in front of participating anglers)

The number of social comps held will be determined by amount of interest and support

At the discretion of fellow mates, anglers can be refused to join the social comp

If you don’t have a mate to team up with and have a boat or not, express interest in the social comp and we can match you with a non boater
however if we are unable to find a non boater or boater you will not be able to fish, strictly two per boat.

Sounds realy good Ian, hopefully the dams up that way are coping with all the water that they are getting. The team idea is a good one it makes for a very social an fun days fishing.
