Peter Faust Barra Trophy Info

Post by Matt Fraser » Wed Sep 07, 2011 4:41 pm

I can now confirm the prizes available for the Faust Trophy,

Pflueger is the naming sponsor for the event, and will be providing some of the major prizes, including the new Arbor SW40s, and Salt 40 Reels.

The Senior Big Barra prize will be a custom made ACM rod valued at over $400, check out the ACM facebook page for more info.

The Junior Big Barra prize will be a Barra charter for two people with Lindsay Dobe valued at over $500. http://www.barramundicharters.com/

There are a swag of lures from Rapala, Berkley, Squidgy, Strike Pro, Owner, and Jackal, as well Suffix leader and Nitro Jigheads. These will given away in the various categories, and in lucky draws.
The Sooty Stalkers category will also be well catered for with the above prizes.

With postal and fax entries closing this friday (9th Sep) , if you haven't got your entries in yet, do it now. Cash entries on the day will set you back another $15 (no cheques thanks, and make sure you bring your boat insurance policy).

We are getting quite a few new teams entering in Amatuer Team Category, which is great to see. Grechy and Belinda are doing a great job in the North securing sponsorship from local businesses like ACM and barramundi charters, and encouraging locals anglers to have a go at the event. Belinda has started a facebook page as well, I'll get the link up shortly.

We are expecting around twenty teams for this inagural Faust Barra Trophy, which should see the Pro Team cash pool reach $2.5k in total.

All Rules, Entry Forms, Entry lists etc are on australianbarra.com.au

Things are starting to come together to make this a great event.

Cheers,

Matt
