Does anyone know if the Barra Trophy series is going to be run this year and if so are there any dates yet? Cheers 8)

Hi Matty,

Unfortunately we won't be holding a Barra Trophy event this year. We were going to try and squeeze one in for late October, but there are too many other competitions and commitments to work around, and we don't want to take anything away from the two ABT series, which promises to be bigger and better this year.

We hope to run two events in the first half of 2013 while the schedule is relatively quiet. Mark down 9th/10th February 2013 for a Gladstone Barra Trophy, Boats and Yaks. Fishing fresh or Salt in the Gladstone area.

Cheers,

Matt

Thanks Matt,

Yes the ABT events will be hopefully be bigger and better than last year, even better if the weather holds out. As a keen competition person, it would be good to see some extra barra events on the calender somewhere, and maybe utilising the start of the year is probably a good place to start. Places like the Hinchinbrook channel, Townsville, Mackay, Rocky and Gladstone for some salt events as well as all impoundments would make for an interesting challenge. Just a thought!!
