Casting Started of with a fantastic hit by Nick Pasinis that set the benchmark for the day with a massive 150 gram of his TTR and Daiwa 7HT mag, final distance registering 251 meters . Conditions however didn't stay the way we had hoped and the wind started to play cat and mouse with all of us either switching across court or dropping down to nothing . Nicks first cast gave him top spot for the comp and the trophy for the day.

( Nick receiving the top casters trophy from Graham )
We did however have very sunny conditions which meant plenty of drinks and food was required to keep up energy levels as all of the casters were trying hard to get that big one away. One caster in particular was very happy with the final results, that being Mick who achieved the buzz of breaking the 200 meter barrier for the first time and gave him a boost in confidence for what he hopes too achieve for the rest of 2010.

( Mike being congratulated for becoming the newest member of the 200 club )
All in all it was a great day once again with mates trying hard to better their casting and having fun doing it.
Heres is some video clips of the other casters putting the leads down field, it was great to see that the majority were using the Ultima distance and powerflex lines that have been made available to the club members .
I would also like to thank our NSW member Gary Bonner for driving the 1800 kilometer round trip to compete as well as have another day with us trying out some of my new rods and allowing us to try out his FMJ rod that he plans to use for the surf . The FMJ was a delight to cast and will be shortly added to the collection as it will be ideal for my daughter and wife to use matched with a Daiwa 3500 sized reel and braid.

Hope to see more of the guys at the next meet.
Regards
