Bait Casting for Jew

Post by jerson » Tue Oct 12, 2010 5:40 pm

I'm interested in finding out if there is a site that would give me a recipe to build a rod for bait casting. I fish a beach that has a outcrop about 100m of shore that i'm curtain would hold Jew when the time is right. I have a 13' tailor rod, matched with a 6.5" alvey side cast, that i will strip & rebuild. My question is what style & size guides do i need. I have built several rods, mainly 6' - 7' long spin, using the guide setout by placing a working curve in the blank & running a line through the guides then positioning the guides to follow the shape of the blank. Is this the method used.
Thanks in advance.
Jerson.
