Kompressor SS spreading

Post by Jeremy Schrader » Mon Apr 07, 2008 1:06 pm

It appear that another two happy Casters/ Anglers have taken delivery of their new Century SS's rod today.

Will be interested in getting the feedback on first impressions and cast after next weekend or sooner if possible.

Regards :D

Mike and I are pleased to announce that we are the proud owners of pair very well travelled Kompressor SS twins.
Big thanks to Chas who packed them in extra heavy duty PVC pipe and end caps that protected our babies despite the best efforts of the courier service to lose and/or destroy them.

Plan to give mine its first outing on Wed evening, stay tuned.

Eddie

Terry confirmed that my M4 Evolution departed the Uk last night.

Now in the lao of the transport gods to see if I can get it by Friday.

If not it will be at Berkely

Graham ,

Hope to see the Zziplex when you get it , it will be interesting to see how it compares to the S & SS.

Do you have any information on it regarding weight and diameter ?

Regards :D

Jeremy

from what i gather it is about the same as my profile as to dimensions.

I will put the tape and vernier over it and the profile when it gets here.

Terry told me that the one I am getting is the M4 Evolution which is supposed to be about 20% stronger than the old M4, which was the big brother to the Profile.

Its the one Mozza used for the 100 gram, 300 yard cast.

Lee ,

I tghought that you wanted to cast like Danny

Thant means you need to snap your current rod and that will give you the excuse to buy a new one :D

G'day Mike:

Your not quite at the bottom of the world. Jeez. Even Jeremy is further south than you are. :)

I'm glad you like the rod.

I have found that the S handles both threadline and overhead comfortably, and the 'level line' efforts have improved somewhat after a few words of advice from 'me old mucca' Dave Mewburn. For the vertically challenged that he is, he can sure chuck a weight a fair old distance.

Looking forward to September in Adelaide. You will have to send me some dates.

A word of advice to anyone contemplating bringing in some rods. Keep your total price under $1000, or the Taxman will challenge your purse strings in a nasty way.

Good luck to the guys heading over for the big Danny event.
