BREAM Australia Open 2010- Entry Form Now Available

Post by Simon Goldsmith » Tue Dec 01, 2009 7:54 am

One of the premier events of the BREAM calendar, the BREAM Australian Open returns to Sydney in January to kick start the new tournament season.

Scheduled for Wed, Thur and Fri (20th-22nd) of the second last week of the month anglers have the opportunity to scratch their tournament itch in one of the few mid week tournaments on the calendar.

Tournament HQ will once again be Drummoyne Sailing Club, with anglers battling hard over three days of competition to grab the $10,000 first prize and the title of 2010 BREAM Australian Open Champions.

Hey Simon,

Do you need to be a member of the ABT to fish the AUS open? Also is it a classic GF qualifier? My apologies if this has been asked previously.

Cheers
Glenn

Glenn,

No - An OPEN event, so (unusually), no ABT membership required.

This year, we're making it a Classic GF qualifier. Never thought of doing it before, but there's no reason why it isn't one.

We'll have an announcement soon about the naming sponsor. Greg Lee's hung up the bream rods. We all really appreciate his support for the last five years of this event. Thanks Bing Lee - they've been a great supporter of the Sydney breamin' community.

Cheers,

SM
