Maroon Bass Electric - Possible Relocation

Post by chris byrnes » Fri Feb 11, 2011 9:17 am

SeqWater has temporarily suspended all water based activity at Maroon Dam until water testing has been completed. This may have implications for the upcoming BASS Electric event at Maroon Dam on Feb 20th. Possible measures include a relocation to nearby Lake Moogerah for the event. At this time ABT are waiting for testing results to come through and will know if the Maroon venue is available early next week. For more information please see the SeqWater website release:

When is the ABT going to make it's decision on the event?

We just spoke to Seqwater they wont know until tomorrow morning.

As soon as we know we'll post it online and get on the phone to all the branches in the grape vines. The Simon Barkhuizens, Ian Galloways and Dave Bullards will be informed ASAP and they'll get the message out there.

Sorry for the delay.

Simon,
Will it be cancelled or will it be moved?
Either way I don't care, as I had a look at Moogerah a couple of weeks ago.
If it's cancelled I will just continue packing for Cania on Monday.

Barry,

It's definitely got the go ahead for Moogerah if Maroon's a no go.

Barry,

Sure do - I catch them breamin' in the Tweed and Clarence all the time.

Friggin' 45cm bass getting in the way .... :)

I'll be back at a few BASS Electric events when the boys get old enough to come along.

In the meantime, I plan to never fish another BASS Pro - after all - who can boast that they've won 25% of all the BASS Pro events they've ever fished in?

Finally, note in other post that it's all systems go for Maroon.

Cheers,
