had a lamiglass
very nice rod but really different from any other rod available.
the xmg50 grips are amazing and the rods fit in your hand realy nicely and are incredibly light ans sensitive.
however the blanks are fairly fragile due to the wrapping technique used but if you look after them they won't let you down.
If you don't have your heart set on an "elite" jim hickson from taree has a few xmg50s for 350 each
which is almost half thier RRP otherwise the XMG range retails for around 550 and the one with the cork grips retails for
around the 350 mark
hope this helps

thanks 4 all the hints and info guys , i have brought the flats elite and not long after brought the finess elite .
very nice rods indeed ... i did have a breakage on the flats elite whilst casting . it was replaced without too much drama .i also have a mate which uses a heavier xmg 4 snapper & loves it, only downfall is the stripper guide is a bit small .once again thank u all .
