South East Queensland Freshwater Catch and Release Results 2002

(14 & 17 /11/2002
)

Seventy one anglers registered to compete in this year’s annual catch and release competition held at Boondooma Dam and the results speak for themselves to claim this as one of the best impoundments to fish.

Anglers travelled from Cairns in the north to Grafton in the south and they were not disappointed in the quality of the fishing or the camaraderie during the event.

The conditions varied from rain to overcast skies to hot sticky days although anglers still managed a record number of fish to be caught and released. On behalf of the organisational committee and the host club North Brisbane Sport Fishing Club Inc I would like to thank all the competitors and sponsors for their support and look forward to their continued support next year. I would also like to thank once again our caterers Ipswich United Sport Fishing Club Inc who put on a top feed including the spit roast on Saturday evening.

The final results are as follows,
