Caloundra Powerboat Fishing Club – Tournament News

The fishing club has only just held there latest tournament and with wild southerlies blowing it keep the outside boys in, giving the few keen estuary anglers the opportunity to score a few points towards their totals. Considering the conditions it was amazing to see the quality of fish that were taken. The old pro’s once again showed that the big whiting are still swimming around and fish up to 600gms were coming out of the eskies. Bream, golden trevally, tarwhine and flathead made up the other more common species taken over the duration of the Tournament. While the BBQ was cooking for all to enjoy each member watched and waited for their competitors to empty their eskies and with crossed fingers and sauce dripping from them the following results came through:

A Grade (handicapped event)

Kath Schulz & Dot Hudson showed up some of the men.

Juniors

Jake Alley weighed in 5 good fish.

The next scheduled event is the 17^th & 18^th of May 2008 and all points are progressive toward the end of year totals.
